I have a few issues with the motion of the character. His feet will sometimes look like they're slipping out from under him, and he doesn't land as fast as I'd like him to. Other than that, I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out.

What can you do with a green sheet and Adobe after effects? You can dance with yourself on a piece of notebook paper!

Walk Cycles

Here is the final version of my first attempt at a walk cycle. "It is the hardest thing to do in animation," or so I'm told, so I consider this a pretty huge accomplishment. I wanted to make it look like he was skipping, or had a little "pep in his step."

I like the way it turned out, albeit a bit choppy at moments. There are a few things I would have done differently. For instance, I wouldn't have waiting until I was almost too tired to hold a pen before finish it up. But I blame the superbowl for that...I wish the Cardinals would have won.

I'm also publishing the first rough-sketch version I did. In some ways, I like it better than the polished version. The sketchiness has a very organic, for lack of a better term, feel to it.
